Having been putting a camera up to my eye or my eyeglasses since the 60s I now spend time looking around on the web to find photography and photographic information that delights my appetite for the result of careful viewing of the planet and its inhabitants. And man, is that a load of fun. Selected Tag: Military["Choice Photography " Home Page] DOF field manipulation - Barrie Artillery Piece This gun sits in a park in downtown Barrie, Ontario. I used Corel Paint Shop Pro to attempt to isolate the gun from the busy background.Base Borden Military Museums CF-100 and Sherman and Stuart Tanks![]() CF-100 Avro Canuck fighter Base Borden Military Museum, - Located near Angus, Ontario about 50 miles north of Toronto. The museum was renovated and reopened in 2007. They have a web site for more details, search Base Borden Museum. There are a large number of vehicles, AFVs and aircraft, on display. Admission is free. Photographically the problem to solve is the interior lighting, very green fluorescent in the vehicles building, and sodium mercury lighting (I think) in the uniforms and smaller item wing. The fluorscent lit room almost dictates converting photos to black and white. . ![]() Sherman Tank, late model version with the large gun, a 17 pounder. ![]() Stuart Light Tank, US Army, saw more action in the Pacific Theatre in World War II
